Terms & Conditions
The Oakley Community Run (the “event”) is organized, by Luxottica SEA (the “organizer”). Each participant in the event(“participant”) agrees that these terms and conditions apply to his or her participant in the event, and to comply with these terms and conditions as amended from time to time.
General
The participant agrees that his or her registration for and participation in the event is not transferable to any other person, and that no other person can participate in the event in the participant's place.
The participant declares that he or she has provided true, accurate, current, and complete information about himself or herself in his or her registration.
The participant’s eligibility to participate in any run organized as part of the event (“run”) is subjected to availability, and slots for participation in any run are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Each participants may register for multiple run sessions, subject to availability.
The participant confirms that he or she is 18 years of age or older. If a participant is below 18 years of age, he or she must obtain the consent of his or her parent or guardian before registering and participating in the event and, in such case, the parent or guardian of the participant confirms that he or she has read and agrees to these terms and conditions for and on behalf of the participant.
The participant consents to being contacted by the organizer with communications, updates, announcements, and notices related to the event
The organizer may, at its sole discretion, refuse entry to or remove the participant from any run.
Redemption of Complimentary Running Tee
Participants who have purchased eligible products from participating stores and received an official event ticket (“ticket”)are eligible to redeem one (1) complimentary running tee, in accordance with these terms and conditions.
To redeem a running tee, a participants with a ticket must:
Register online for a run session;
Arrive for the registered run session before the redemption cut-off time stated in the confirmation email;
Present the original physical ticket to Oakley store staff at the Oakley Funan store; and
Be among the first 50 eligible participants presenting their ticket to redeem a tee for that run session.
Running tees are limited to 50 redemptions per run session and are available on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last. Tee sizes are subject to availability at the point of redemption.
A participant must surrender his or her tickets to Oakley store staff upon tee redemption and the ticket will not be returned.
The organizer reserves the right to reject the use of a ticket which is damaged, duplicated, photocopied, or defaced.
All tickets and complimentary running tees cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, or other forms of compensation. Tees cannot be exchanged once redeemed.
The organizer reserves the right to verify ticket authenticity and a participant’s eligibility to redeem a tee prior to redemption. In the event of any dispute relating to a ticket, the organizer’s decision on all matters is final.
Attendance & Late Arrival Policy
Participants are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes before a run to verify their registration, redeem their running tee (if applicable) and utilize the bag deposit service.
Each run will commence promptly at the scheduled flag-off time stipulated in the confirmation email.
For safety and operational reasons, latecomers will not be allowed to join a run once the running group has departed.
The organizer reserves the right to deny participation in any run to latecomers, participants with incomplete or inaccurate registration details, or participants who fail to comply with procedures and instructions for the event.
Participants who arrive after the tee redemption cut-off time stated in the confirmation email will not be eligible to redeem a complimentary running tee.
The participants agrees to comply with all instructions provided by run leaders, crew members, and event personnel throughout the event for safety and operational purposes.
Bag Deposit Service
A bag deposit service will be provided at the Oakley Funan store before each run, available on a first-come, first-served basis; and subject to the availability of space.
The participant shall not deposit valuables items (including credit cards, cash and jewellery), fragile items, phones or items of significant personal or monetary value.
The participant agrees that the organizer, partners, and appointed third parties shall not be responsible or liable for any loss, theft, damage, or misplacement of bags or belongings deposited at the bag deposit area.
The participants shall ensure that his or her bags and belongings are properly labelled before depositing them at the bag deposit, and promptly collect such bags and belongings after participating in any run.
All bags and belongings deposited at the bag deposit area must be collected by 8PM on the same day.
The organizer may remove or discard any bags and belongings which have not been claimed after 8PM at its sole discretion.
The organizer reserves the right to refuse storage of oversized, unsafe, prohibited, or suspicious items. The participant agrees that the organizer may open and inspect any item or bag deposited at the bag deposit area, if the organizer deems such actions to be necessary for the purposes of safety.
Event Conduct & Safety
The participants shall ensure that he or she is medically and physically fit to participate in any run for which he or she has registered.
The participant acknowledges that the event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to the risk of personal injury, accidents, illness, and damage, to or loss of property.
The participant acknowledges that the decision to participate in the event is entirely his or her own decision, and accepts all risks associated with participating in the event, including but not limited to injury and/or loss of life.
The participant shall at all times during any run conduct himself or herself in a safe and responsible manner. The participant agrees to follow the designated run route, observe traffic rules and obey all directions and instructions given by the organizer. The participant must wear his or her assigned wrist tag and ensure that such wrist tag can be seen at all times during the run.
Liability
To the fullest extent permissible by law, the organizer, sponsors, partners, event crew, and appointed third parties shall not be held liable for any injury, loss of life, loss, damage, or cost whatsoever arising from or in connection with the participant’s participation in the event, including any run or related activity.
The participants agrees to release, discharge, and hold harmless the organizer from any claims and actions arising out of or in connection with participation in the event, including any run or related activity.
Media and Publicity
The participants consents to being photographed, filmed, or recorded during the event.
The organizer reserves the right to use such content for marketing, promotional, social media, and publicity purposes and the participant irrevocably consents to such use without further notice or compensation.
Miscellaneous
The organizer reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions without prior notice.
The organizer may cancel or postpone any run, or modify any part of any run (including the date, route, and/or location), at any time without prior notice.
In the event of any disputes relating to these terms and conditions or the event, the organizer’s decision is final.
These terms and conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with Singapore law.
Product Trial Experience
The organizer may make available certain product trial experiences during the event.
Participation in a product trial is offered at the organizer’s discretion and made available to participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
Participants who are interested to participate in a product trial are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled reporting time for registration and fitting purposes.
If the participant is selected to participate in a product trial, he or she agrees to follow all instructions provided by the organizer, event crew and product specialists during the product trial experience.
The participant agrees to use any trial products only within the designated event area and the time designated for such trial, unless otherwise permitted by the organizer.
The participants agrees to handle all trial products with care. The participant agrees that any intentional misuse of or negligence resulting in damage to a trial product may result in immediate termination of the trial experience and liability for damages where applicable.
The organizer reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate any product trial participation deemed unsafe, inappropriate, or non-compliant with event instructions.
The participant acknowledges that the decision to participate in a product trial is entirely his or her own decision, and accepts all risks associated with participating in the product trial.
To the fullest extent permissible by law, the organizer, partners, sponsors, and appointed third parties shall not be held liable for any injury, loss of life, loss, damage, or cost arising from participation in the product trial experience.
The organizer reserves the right to suspend, or discontinue the product trial experience at any time without prior notice.
